Grok built you a page and you want to share it, but it lives inside Grok, not at a web address that looks like you. There is no custom URL and no custom domain for a Grok artifact. Grok supports MCP, so you can connect it to DocStash, have it save the page for you, and serve it from a domain you own. Here is how.

Why you cannot change a Grok artifact link

  • The artifact lives inside Grok. Grok renders the page in the chat, with no standalone link you can point at your own address.
  • No custom domains, no custom URLs. Grok has no way to point your own domain or a vanity URL at an artifact, so the page never looks like it came from you.
  • The link tells everyone how the page was made. A Grok chat link reads as an AI export, not as your work on your site.

Serve it from your own domain with DocStash

  1. Connect Grok to DocStash. Grok supports MCP, so add DocStash as an MCP server. Pick Grok below for the short setup. No coding, no keys.
  2. Ask Grok to stash it. Say "stash this to DocStash". The page saves to DocStash and stays private until you publish it.
  3. Connect your subdomain. Add a subdomain like docs.yourname.com in DocStash settings. For most providers DocStash opens your DNS settings page for you, so you just paste in the CNAME record it shows. It has to be a subdomain, not your bare root domain, because a CNAME cannot live at the root.
  4. Publish. The page goes live on your domain as a fully white-label page, with no Grok link anywhere. No forced DocStash branding on the page either.

Can I change the web address of a Grok artifact?

Not inside Grok. The artifact stays in the chat. To get a real link on a domain you control, save the page somewhere that supports custom domains, like DocStash.

Can I use my root domain, or only a subdomain?

A subdomain like docs.yourname.com, not the bare root domain. Custom domains connect with a CNAME record, which DNS does not allow on a root domain, so a subdomain is how every host handles this. For most providers DocStash opens your DNS settings page and shows the exact CNAME to add, then checks it for you.

Will the page show any Grok or DocStash branding?

No. The published page is your content at your domain. DocStash adds no forced branding.

Do I have to copy and paste the HTML?

No. Because Grok supports MCP, it saves the page to DocStash for you. You can also paste the HTML in by hand if you prefer.

Can I white-label the page or use a vanity URL?
