How to share a Claude artifact with only certain people

Claude gives you two options for an artifact. Keep it private to yourself, or publish it for anyone with the link. There is no password, no invite list, no login wall. Here is how to share it with exactly the people you choose instead, using DocStash.

Why Claude artifacts are all or nothing

  • Private or fully public, nothing in between. A published artifact is open to anyone who has the link. You cannot limit it to certain people.
  • No password, no login. There is no way to password protect an artifact or ask viewers to sign in.
  • No team access. You cannot give your team or your client their own access, and you cannot take one person's access away later.

Share it behind a login with DocStash

  1. Connect Claude to DocStash. Pick Claude below and follow the short setup. No coding, no keys.
  2. Ask Claude to stash it. Say "stash this to DocStash". The page saves to DocStash and is private from the first second.
  3. Invite the people who should see it, whether that is your team or a single client. Add them by email as viewers or editors. Each person signs in to open the page, so the link is useless to anyone else.
  4. Change your mind any time. Remove a person and their access ends. Or make the page public later with one click if you want everyone to see it.

Can I password protect a Claude artifact?

Not inside Claude. On DocStash you get something sturdier than a shared password. You invite specific people, and each of them signs in. Nobody can forward the secret, because there is none.

Can my whole team see it?

Yes. In a team organization, the docs your team makes are shared with the team, with roles for who can view and who can edit.

Can I put it behind my company login?

Yes. DocStash supports enterprise sign-in with SSO over OIDC or SAML, so viewers sign in with the account your company already uses.

What if I want it public later?

One click publishes it as a public page, and the same click takes it back. Nothing is deleted either way, and the link stays the same.
