Claude builds a page and shows it right in the chat, but a preview isn't a link you can send. Here is how to put it at one link you control, private until you share it.
Can Claude publish it by itself?
Yes. Claude can publish a chat artifact to a public claude.ai link. It works for a quick share, with a few limits.
- The link always lives on claude.ai, with no custom domain.
- There is no setting to keep a published artifact out of Google Search.
- Once you unpublish an artifact, Claude won't publish it again, and a new artifact gets a new link.
Publish or share it on DocStash
DocStash is a home for the pages your AI makes. It turns Claude's HTML into a real webpage with one link, private until you publish it, and you choose exactly who can open it. Upload the HTML you already have, or connect Claude and let it share the page for you. On Pro it can use your own domain, it stays out of Google, and you can republish it at the same link anytime.
Already have the HTML?
- Drop the file below. Drag it anywhere on this page, or choose it. It becomes a webpage with its own link, private until you publish it.htmlmdtextpdf
- Share it. Click Publish for a public link, or share it with specific people.
Let Claude publish it
- Connect Claude to DocStash. Click the button below and follow the quick setup. No CLI, no API keys.
- Ask Claude to create the page. Say something like "host this as a page on DocStash". Claude creates it and shows an inline preview right in the chat. Nothing is saved yet.
- Review it, then stash. When the preview looks right, click Stash in the preview, or just tell Claude to stash. That saves the page and gives you a stable link like
docstash.ai/<slug>. It stays private until you make it public in one click. - Iterate, at the same link. Ask Claude for any change and it pushes a new version to the same URL, so the link never changes. Prefer an earlier take? Revert to any previous version with one click.
Your own domain, and who opened it
FAQ
Can I republish a Claude artifact I unpublished?
Not in Claude. Once you unpublish a chat artifact, Claude won't publish it again, and a new artifact gets a new link. On DocStash you can unpublish and publish again as often as you like, at the same link.
Will a published page show up in Google?
Not from DocStash. Claude has no setting to keep a published artifact out of Google, but every DocStash page tells search engines not to index it.
Does it work with Claude Code too?
Yes. Claude Code connects to DocStash from the terminal, so a page started in Claude can be updated from Claude Code at the same link.
Does this work with ChatGPT and other AI tools?
Yes. DocStash works with any MCP-aware assistant, including ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, and Codex.
How is this different from Claude artifacts?
Claude artifacts live inside Claude. DocStash gives what any agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Codex, and more) makes a permanent, shareable link with full version history, private by default, and a home for everything it builds (many document types, organizations, and access control). See the full comparison.
Do I have to deploy Claude HTML or artifacts to share them?
No. There is no server, build step or hosting account to set up. Stash the page or artifact and DocStash serves it at one link, private until you publish or share it.
