What the ChatGPT free tier can and can't do
- ChatGPT Sites is paid only. It launched in public beta in July 2026 for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu. The Free and Go tiers do not get it, so free users can't publish from ChatGPT.
- Generating code is not hosting it. ChatGPT can write the page in the chat, but that is just text in the conversation, not a live URL. On the free plan there is no host and no Publish step.
- So the page has nowhere to go. The code sits in the chat. To share it, you would have to copy it out and host it yourself.
Publish a page from the free plan with DocStash
