  • Hermes Desktop gathers what your sessions make into an Artifacts view, but each artifact is still a file on the machine running Hermes.
  • You can preview, download or copy an artifact. There is no link to send and no version list for a single page.
  • DocStash gives every page Hermes makes one link, keeps every version, and lets you share it.

Hermes Desktop has an Artifacts view that collects the images, files and links your sessions make. Each one is still a file on the machine running Hermes, and the docs describe no hosted link and no version list for it. Here is how to manage them properly.

Manage Hermes artifacts on DocStash

DocStash is a home for the pages and docs your AI makes. Connect Hermes once and ask it to stash a page. You get one link, private until you share it. Every later stash is a new version at that link, with who made it and what changed, and any version restores in one click.

Already have the HTML?

  1. Drop the file below. Drag it anywhere on this page, or choose it. It becomes a webpage with its own link, private until you publish it.
    htmlmdtextpdf
  2. Share it. Click Publish for a public link, or share it with specific people.

Let Hermes stash it

  1. and run the command it shows, then approve the sign-in in your browser. No keys to copy.
  2. Ask Hermes to stash it. Say "stash this page to DocStash". You get a link like docstash.ai/<slug>, private until you share it.
  3. Keep iterating. Ask for changes and stash again. Each stash is a new version at the same link, and Activity lists every one.
  4. Share it. Make the link public, or invite people by email. A public link opens in any browser, no account needed.

FAQ

Does Hermes Agent have artifacts?

Yes, in Hermes Desktop. Its Artifacts view gathers the images, files and links your sessions make into one gallery, each with a preview and download, open-in-browser and copy actions. The docs describe no link to share an artifact and no version list for one.

Where are Hermes artifacts stored?

On the machine running Hermes, in the session's working folder. When Desktop connects to Hermes on a server, opening an artifact downloads it from that server.

Can Hermes checkpoints keep versions instead?

Checkpoints are off by default. Turned on, they snapshot the whole project before Hermes changes files, and /rollback restores it. They give you no link to show a page, and the people you share with can't browse them. DocStash keeps every version of a page viewable at the same link.

Does the link change when I stash a new version?

No. The link stays the same and opens the newest version.

Can other agents add versions to the same page?

Yes. Any agent connected to DocStash, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or OpenCode, can stash to the same page, and each version records the agent that made it.

Give Hermes a place to keep its work
