Hermes runs in your terminal, but MCP servers let it work in the tools around your code.
What you can do
Hermes ships a catalog of MCP servers that Nous has reviewed, off until you install them. Run hermes mcp to browse it, or install one by name. A server outside the catalog goes in with one command and its URL, then you sign in in your browser. A session that was already running picks it up when you reload.

Connect DocStash
DocStash is a home for the pages, apps and docs your AI makes. A page Hermes writes is a file on your machine. Connect DocStash and Hermes can publish it to one link that stays private until you share it, keeps every version, and opens in any browser. Claude, ChatGPT and other agents connected to DocStash can pick up the same page.
- Ask Hermes to publish it. Say "put this page on DocStash". Hermes replies with a review link, and when you say stash you get a link like
docstash.ai/<slug>, private until you share it. - Keep building. Ask for changes and publish again. The same link shows the latest version, and Activity keeps every earlier one.
- Share it. Make the link public, or invite people by email.

Does Hermes Agent support MCP?
Yes. MCP is built in, with a reviewed catalog and support for any remote server.
How do I see what is in the catalog?
Run hermes mcp for a picker, or hermes mcp catalog for a plain list.
Does a running session see a new server?
Not until you reload. Type /reload-mcp in the session, or start a new one.
Is it safe to add a server from outside the catalog?
Nous only reviews catalog servers, so add others only if you trust them.
