  • ChatGPT Sites can publish a page, but only on paid plans, and a public site can show up in Google.
  • Connected to DocStash, ChatGPT shows the page as a preview in the chat on every plan, free included.
  • Click Stash for one link that stays private until you share it, and every edit lands at the same link.

ChatGPT can write a whole HTML page on any plan, but only paid plans can publish one with Sites. Here is how to put it at one link from any plan, private until you share it.

Can ChatGPT publish it by itself?

Yes, with ChatGPT Sites, which publishes a page to a live link. It comes with limits.

  • Sites is on paid plans only. The Free and Go plans can't publish a page.
  • A public site can show up in Google Search, with no setting to stop it.

Publish or share it on DocStash

DocStash is a home for the pages your AI makes. It turns ChatGPT's HTML into a live page with one link, private until you publish it, with no server, no build step, and no hosting account. Upload the HTML you already have, or connect ChatGPT and let it deploy the page for you. It works on the free plan and stays out of Google.

Already have the HTML?

  1. Drop the file below. Drag it anywhere on this page, or choose it. It becomes a webpage with its own link, private until you publish it.
    htmlmdtextpdf
  2. Share it. Click Publish for a public link, or share it with specific people.

Let ChatGPT publish it

  1. Connect ChatGPT to DocStash. Click the button below and follow the quick setup. No CLI, no API keys.
  2. Ask ChatGPT to create the page. Say something like "host this as a page on DocStash". ChatGPT creates it and shows an inline preview right in the chat. Nothing is saved yet.
  3. Review it, then stash. When the preview looks right, click Stash in the preview, or just tell ChatGPT to stash. That saves the page and gives you a stable link like docstash.ai/<slug>. It stays private until you make it public in one click.
  4. Iterate, at the same link. Ask ChatGPT for any change and it pushes a new version to the same URL, so the link never changes. Prefer an earlier take? Revert to any previous version with one click.

FAQ

Do I need a paid ChatGPT plan?

No. ChatGPT Sites needs Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, but DocStash works from every ChatGPT plan, Free and Go included.

Will a public page show up in Google?

Not on DocStash. A public ChatGPT site can be indexed, with no setting to stop it. Every DocStash page tells search engines not to index it.

Does it work in Codex too?

Yes. Codex connects to DocStash the same way, so a page started in ChatGPT can be updated from Codex at the same link.

Does this work with Claude and other AI tools?

Yes. DocStash works with any MCP-aware assistant, including Claude, Cursor, OpenCode, Hermes Agent, Gemini, and Codex.

Can I go back to an earlier version?

Yes. Every stash is kept as a version at the same link, and any earlier one restores in one click.

Do I have to deploy ChatGPT HTML or artifacts to share them?

No. There is no server, build step or hosting account to set up. Stash the page or artifact and DocStash serves it at one link, private until you publish or share it.
